In the sport of paintball, there are different types of games you can play. Scenario paintball is the most popular for paintballers and is very intense. Players take part in a story or a situation that everyone learns about before the game starts. It can be anything from being Medieval knights to a story more sci-fi related. The duration of scenario style games can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days. A lot of paintballers sign up and it can be a blast if organized beforehand.

At Cover Fire Paintball, we are different but have a very fun style of play that is friendly for all ages. Our scenario games are dynamic and let you improve your skills while having a good time. There are different fields to play on to allow you to set up any scenario you like with your teammates. Below are some tips that you can follow to get the most out of your experience with us when you arrive.

Organize and Understand the Storyline
The central goal of any game of scenario paintball is its story that has to be rehearsed. If you are a beginner, you might want to try a basic game of speedball first to learn the basics of paintball. There are so many things to pay attention to in a game of scenario ball so your fundamentals should be solid. Understand the responsibilities you have and who you are playing in the storyline. Keep practicing and your role will become second nature to you. Once you have that down, you can let loose and have a good experience.
Scenario paintball is physically demanding at times so being in shape helps a lot. You will have to move around for long periods of time and the person with the least stamina loses. The last thing you want is to be out of breath when you need your endurance the most. The Most important fact is that you won't go home at the end of the day with your body sore and aching.
Be Comfortable with Your Gear and the Field
If you have a scenario paintball game coming up and want to impress your teammates, come a few days before. Practice playing on the field if you are playing with us and take a walk around. When you take this step, you will be ready when the times comes to compete. It is also important to make your equipment feel like it was made for you. Use your marker with your protective gear as much as you can and make sure it is the best paintball marker possible. This will help you not have to second guess yourself when you are using it during a real game. Check out some thorough paintball gun guides and tutorials online to learn more.
Keep Alert and Communicate with Teammates
Communication is key in any type of paintball game. Teammates should get to know each other as much as possible off the field. Doing this allows them to be more comfortable when playing on the field. Pay attention as much as you can and try to know the location of every individual playing with you at all times. Your opponents will be watching you so you should be able to know where they are also.

Don’t Be Scared of Close Quarters Battles
Some situations involve coming into contact with the other team in very close quarters. Use that adrenaline to keep moving forward in the action. It will almost always pay off but you have to make sure you spot them first and are caught by surprise. If you don’t you put yourself at risk of getting hit simultaneously or by another opponent that you can’t see.
Have a Good Time and Let Loose
Although games may get competitive at times, at Cover Fire Paintball we are all about fun. We want all our players to make friends and have unforgettable moments with them. Feel free to dress the part and come to games with appropriate costumes. It allows you to get into character and get absorbed in your role. When you arrive, always remember to follow the safety rules and we all get to go home with priceless memories.
